Overview
Following each conference, each region in the province has the opportunity to provide a team of educator-writers to produce a series of Professional Development modules. These booklets and DVDs allow schools and districts to conduct in-depth professional learning on a particular theme that has a variety of key messages from each keynote and pay particular attention to increasing student learning skills and strategies. Each module contains selected video excerpts from a variety of keynotes speakers with focus questions to allow participants to go deeper in their learning. The goal of each session is to have participants explore and use different student focused classroom learning skills, strategies and structures that will lead to positive growth and change that enhances student learning. This is done with practice sessions backed up with the expert research and background. Facilitator guides, all resources and materials needed to produce a workshop or series of workshops are included in the booklet and the DVD that is enclosed in the front of each booklet. Small video clips are embedded in each PowerPoint so that there is easy access for workshop presenters.
